How are we able to check this via API? I’m guessing the restriction is location based but how can we check prior to placing an order?

There is no endpoint that returns that. Alternatively, what you can do moving forward is to either find out the restricted symbols and add it to a ‘no trade’ list or you can add it to your ‘no trade’ list every time you come across a [BadRequest]: ‘[NO REASON]’ - This symbol is restricted for this account. (-2010)’ error.
