Markets and symbols can change over time due to delistings or renaming. This creates inconsistencies when attempting to fetch historical data tied to symbols that are no longer active or have been altered. - Risk of Collisions:
The reuse of trading pair names or introduction of new pairs with similar names increases the risk of collisions, leading to unexpected query results. - Inefficiency in Multi-Symbol Queries:
For users working with multiple trading pairs, the need to specifysymbolfor every query requires multiple API calls. Allowing queries without asymbolparameter would enable broader data retrieval with fewer calls, resulting in improved performance and reduced resource usage on both client and server sides. - Enhanced Efficiency Without Symbols:
Removing the requirement forsymbolcan streamline the process of retrieving all orders or trades for an account. For example, querying trades across all pairs in a single call reduces complexity, lowers API rate limits usage, and improves overall efficiency for developers.
