Linux Desktop App impacted by AppArmor

TL;DR

Due to the use of electron for Linux development, the Desktop App is experiencing problems related to the chromium private sandbox.

The privacy sandbox has two main objectives:

To phase out support for third-party cookies when new solutions are implemented.

Reduce tracking between websites and apps and, at the same time, help maintain online content and services at no financial cost to everyone.

But Linux is blocking the use of this feature through the Linux kernel security module AppArmor.

There is no AppArmor profile created in /etc/apparmor.d/ that releases the use of the chromium sandbox for the Desktop App which leaves it unable to open the login screen or dash etc.

Many applications are having this problem and have created workarounds, as is the case with Jetbrasins Apps see below

https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/articles/JBR-A-11

We need a workaround, or we won’t be able to use the Linux Desktop App anymore.
