LIMIT order: why it buy at AVG price?

Hi,

I made a LIMIT order of a BTCUSDT for (for example) 23.365.32 price. But when it actually buy, it buyed at AVG price of 23,364.89 (lesser).

Why this? Is it because 23.365.32 is not “exactly” match and take a lower price? And more important: the avg price would always be “lower” that “price”?

That’s how LIMIT orders work.

When you place a BUY order, it will buy at 23365.32 or lower. The buy order sets the limit on the maximum price you are willing to pay. Similarly, a LIMIT SELL would be selling at specified price or higher.
