Futures Testnet: "Close Positions Failed"

Hi! Sorry, I wasn’t able to find a category for the platform, but please see this message I received:

Close Positions Failed
RAYUSDT
Perpetual
Short
undefined RAY Unable to fill order.
ICPUSDT
Perpetual
Short
undefined ICP Market order rejected: The counterparty’s best price exceeds the price limit.
AVAXUSDT
Perpetual
Short
undefined AVAX Market order rejected: The counterparty’s best price exceeds the price limit.

Just curious if anyone knows what has happened here, and also is there any way to clear these out?

Thanks so much!! I appreciate it.

Hi. Could you provide more info about the scenario? It will be helpful for the investigation.
Please let us know

  1. if you have those positions before closing them
  2. how did you close the position
  3. when did you do the operation
  4. if it is able to resolve after retry
    Thanks.

Hi! Thanks for your response.

  • Yes I had those three positions opened.
  • I tried to close them using the “Close All Positions” link, would produced this message.
  • Also tried to close them at market via the “Market” link on each position and received individual messages of the same.
  • No, trying again doesn’t work

Also I will follow up by saying that I spoke with Binance support and they are looking into it; it may be related to low liquidity on the testnet.

Thanks for the response. And yes, when the liquidity is low, the order cannot be filled so it will fail. The action “close all positions” is actually placing orders in batch.
The team is investigating another issue with the modal message “undefined” now.

Hi, I’ve got the same kind of message this evening…
Dos this happen on the real Binance Futures trading platform ?
Thanks…
Seb

Was this order placed on the testnet environment?

This error is shown when a market order consumes a number of orders to the point where the next order’s price is outside the price filter threshold, common in low liquidity markets.

Testnet’s markets are less liquid when compared to the real trading markets. While it is possible to encounter this error in real markets, it is very unlikely.

Thank you for you feedback…
Yes this order was placed on the testnet environment.
12 hours on, I still did not manage to close the order.
Fortunatly, I virtually gained quite more than expected so far !

  • How can I know about the available liquidity of a market before placing the order?
  • Is there anything I could do to close it ?

You are trying to close a position, not an order. The best way is to place a limit order instead of a market order, or split your order into smaller orders.

How can I know about the available liquidity of a market before placing the order?

Liquidity is defined by the order book.

Hi, i wasn’t sure where to post this question. Hopefully someone can help.

I have been using the futures test net trading platform. I have been enjoying it and have learnt a lot.

Now, i have gone to the live futures trading platform. The real one. But, I have noticed i get two different candle graph screens. Ive checked and from what i can see all settings are the same.

On the test net platform, I’ve been using this candle graph. But on the actual futures trading platform, the candle graph is completely different.

Can some please explain.

This s the testnet platform

And this is the actual futures trading platform form

Hi that’s because there were some Trading View options enabled on your testnet charts whilst it’s a clean chart on your actual Futures charts. On testnet you also have extended the X and Y ranges.
You can make your chart look the same by fist scrolling to the bottom of the icon list on the left of the chart (the list which starts with a crosshair) and clicking “Show Object Tree”. That will show you all the objects that are enabled on the chart so you can apply the same to your actual futures chart.
